Fundraising
To ensure the future success of the Saskatoon Sharks, we need the swimmers family to assist with fundraising. Fundraising is an easy way to assist our club while keeping additional dollars in your pocket. Each family will be expected to contribute with fundraising through out the season. Our first fundraiser will be in the first two weeks of May. We will be selling Cowboy Caviar beef jerky. Please reach out to family, friends and neighbours for support. Additional information will be given after registration.
Officiating
To ensure all swim meets are a success, swim families need to assist with officiating. This can include siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.... To be able to officiate, everyone must take the Intro to Swim Officiating and the Safety Marshall clinics before taking any other clinics. Successfully completing these two clinics will qualify you as a Timer and a Safety Marshall. A Timer gets a front row seat to all the swimming action. These courses are free to take.
Other clinics include:
- Judge of Stroke, Inspector of Turns (virtual clinic)
- Chief Timekeeper (online e-module)
- Starter (virtual clinic)
- Chief Finish Judge/Chief Judge Electronics/Recorder Scorer (virtual clinic)
- Clerk of Course (online e-module)
- Meet Manager (virtual clinic)

Watching Practice
We respectfully request that parents and family members do not accompany athletes on the pool side deck during practices without the expressed invitation of a coach. As well, we require that all athletes give notice to a coach whenever leaving the pool prior to the end of practice, for any reason. Emails prior to practice to notify the club an athlete will be leaving early or absent from practice will assist the coach as well.
Refunds
If a swimmer decides this sport is not for them, then fees can be refunded in accordance with the following timeline:
Fees may be refunded where an athlete is unable to continue due to injury or other medical conditions. Written notification from a medical practitioner may be requested and notification will need to be submitted to the Club for pending approval of reimbursement. The amount refunded will be at the discretion of the Club.
Harassment
The Saskatoon Sharks have zero tolerance for bullying and harassment. We follow the policies of SwimSask in regards to bullying and harassment. Athletes, parents or guardians not following the policies will be asked to leave the club. In such circumstances all fees can be forfeited at the discretion of the club.
*** Please be advised, registration will allow for up to 40 swimmers. Additional registered swimmers will be placed on a wait list, pending available space. Instructions for completing the registration process will be emailed in the days following its receipt by the club. ***
